Holtec International, a supplier of products and services to the worldwide nuclear power industry, is seeking experienced Project Managers to join our International Site Services (ISS) Team to lead site-based work. The Position is offered by Holtec Britain as a member of the Holtec International family.

This role requires specific focus on manufacture of products at international facilities, requiring monitoring and controlling to ensure schedule adherence and quality of product. The Project Manager will based out of the Sizewell B power station in Leiston, Suffolk. The position will require regular travel both in the UK and abroad up to 30% of the year on short term projects (generally less than 6 months in duration). This position will work with the Corporate PM to manage the overall relationship with the customer.

The ideal candidate will be well-rounded in engineering and project management and capable of operating independently. In addition to developing and maintaining relationships with clients, the candidate must be highly motivated, results-oriented and capable of interacting with business executives.

Minimum Responsibilities:

  • The Leadership, Management, and oversight of the project, delivering successful project outcomes in all areas, and maintaining high standards of professionalism, required from working in the nuclear industry.
  • Communicating effectively and professionally with everyone associated with the project.
  • Providing operational and strategic direction for the project team.
  • Driving quality delivery through effective planning a right-first-time delivery.
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with the client and their project management and supervisory team and the supply chain.
  • Ensuring realistic work programmes are prepared, managed, monitored, reviewed, and updated according to the requirements of the project and contract.
  • Using appropriate and effective communication methods such as recorded internal weekly progress meetings to communicate with the whole project team.
  • Keeping line management appraised of potential risks and opportunities associated with the project and the potential for future work opportunities.
  • Management and development of all safety files, such as Method Statements and Risk Assessments.

Requirements:

  • Degree, in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Successful experience and performance at Project Management of products or equipment manufactured by third parties.
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and project management capabilities as strong attention for client stakeholder management.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

  • Project Management Qualifications APM (PPQ or PMQ) or PMP.
  • 5 years of experience in the nuclear, construction, petrochemical, or power generation sector.
  • Previous experience working in Nuclear is preferred but not essential.
